I remember that.

reply

Me too. It was front page news. Could you imagine feeling responsible for that?

reply

I specifically remember the cover of Rolling Stone magazine it featured the yearbook photos of ALL the victims. It hit hard. Statium floor seating was aggressive.

reply

Very unfortunate. The Who had nothing to do with it from what I know.
These types of shows will always court bad actors. That's part of life today.
We have more and more security (which isn't much to speak of) and some will just look at it as a way to overcome a hurdle, to flaunt their right to be miscreants in a free society.
It's a big problem.

this is unlikely to happen today. crowd control and security at stadiums is much better.

reply

I'm not so sure. Terrible things still happen from time to time. At futbol (is that a correct spelling?) games for example.

English soccer was really bad in the 1980s. A riot would break out at every game. Much better these days.

I just watched the WKRP in Cincinnati episode that covered it. It was very well done.

reply

I remember that episode.

I just saw a video of Roger going back. Good guy.

reply

I just learned about this on the Decades network today. Very shocking.
