Ok this one is weak as it's a fave yet I can't recall the film, probably because it's not a great film it might "The Eagle has landed" anyway an officer's woman is talking to him and she is a bit pissed off, she says "I thought you loved me" he responds with "I can't help what you think".

Just such a classic male response.

Marla Singer from Fight Club "I haven't been fucked like that since grade school". The line they wanted but were told not to ise so they changed it to something worse so they could revert back.

reply

Actually that was the replacement for the line they wanted to use which was "I want to have your abortion".

From IMDb trivia:

"The original "pillow talk"-scene had Marla saying "I want to have your abortion". When this was objected to by Fox 2000 Pictures President of Production Laura Ziskin, David Fincher said he would change it on the proviso that the new line couldn't be cut. Ziskin agreed and Fincher wrote the replacement line, "I haven't been fucked like that since grade school". When Ziskin saw the new line, she was even more outraged and asked for the original line to be put back, but, as per their deal, Fincher refused."

I love all the Doors quotes! Good job.

reply

Thank you. Morrison was a true poet, and the band could PLAY. Their link to my favorite poet, William Blake, is the icing on the cake.

"And I'm gettin' harder than Chinese algebra." - Tom Waits lyric from Pasties and a G-string

Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable

I saw this concert documentary in the theater recently. It was cool being in a movie theater with a bunch of Depeche Mode fans.

That's cool.

I know seeing tour was a reunion of people that I hadn't seen in almost 30 years.

reply

I’ve never seen them in concert but I’m looking into going to one in the future. I’ve been to a several concerts this year so I’m kinda in the mood. I’ve seen The Cure, Duran Duran and Peter Hook who was in New Order.
