Did you buy anything today?
I stopped at Staples and looked around. They had some good deals on laptops but I am not in the market. Desktops are getting smaller and smaller.
shareI got up early, was out the door at 6:30 am, and back home by 11am, I bought a few presents and a some things for myself - well really the house - like a new coffee maker.
My husband and I stopped exchanging gifts long ago - we spend our money on travel.
I think more people are doing that these days - spending money on experiences rather than stuff nobody really needs.
shareI think experiences are more more satisfying than another "something" I don't want or need. My son and I stopped the gift giving about 10 years ago and instead we go out for a really nice dinner, (like Morton's.) I need another $100 gift like I need a hole in the head, but I did tell him if he wanted to cough up a $10k gift then I would give him a list. - LOL!
