I'm no good with poetry...What does this mean to you tcrum?
Its a sad poem about the end of the world. The more famous piece he says is, "This is how the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper." It just stuck with me.
shareI've heard this 'not a bang but a whisper' line before, oddly enough...probably in some movie.
I'm sure T.S. Elliot was way more intelligent and schooled than I am but I tend to disagree with this sentiment
We are not going anywhere and neither will the world because we are all scrappers...We will hold this joint together with bailing wire and duct tape if needs be...
Nice enough poem though...Elliot sounds like he was suffering from depression
Did you know that if T S Eliot's name was S T Eliot it would spell "toilets" backwards ?
T S Eliot once said that " Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions." That is ludicrous. Most of the evil in this world is obviously done by people with evil intentions. The guy was a nincompoop !

You seem to be in a rather depressed/pissed state this evening/morning. What has riled you? I’m depressed now. 🙇♀️ Maybe you should start thinking “Maybe there is a God”. Sounds like He may be tapping you on the shoulder. Just sayin’, tcrum.
