Disney+ issues? 📺

I half-expected some, but haven't had any problems. Apparently, plenty of users have.

All I can say is, cool the outrage, folks. I'm sure Disney doesn't want to see problems, either. They're working on it...

reply

They will have it all sorted out very soon...still, it is a bit silly that Disney is having issues!

People will be fired over this unfortunately

reply

I read somewhere that Disney ignored advice to try a limited roll-out first to identify and fix issues before the big show. At this point, that's hearsay, though.

reply

Arrogance comes before the fall...Even mighty Disney is not completely bulletproof!
They will have the service sorted out and fully operational in no time, they have the budget of most Western countries

Regardless, Iger will have a forest of heads on stakes to make Vlad jealous by tomorrow morning
Bit of an embarrassment but The House of the Mouse will endure

I've been hearing news about this all day, and the so-called "outrage" just seems to be that of a bunch of wackadoodles. I've been on PC forever and first day launch hiccups are normal but people are acting as though it's the end of the world.

reply

Exactly! Hiccups happen and it's not the end of the world.

reply

I think 5 people have got it working right.

reply

I think it's hit or miss as to whether someone has a problem. The only issue I've had up to now is that the catalog of content isn't completely visible yet. I've gotten some Disney movies and a few Fox movies, but Pixar choices didn't load. Eh, I can wait. Things will work out.

reply

The only user review I've heard on this was a facebook friend who gave it pretty glowing praise. Can't say I'm surprised to hear there are issues though...it's a giant rollout and there's bound to be some issues unfortunately.

Does anyone know if there's a Disney+ app available on playstation 4? I watch all my streaming services through them and haven't decided if I'm going to take the Disney plunge just yet but wondering if anyone knows offhand if it's available.

reply

From what I've read you will be able to stream through your PS4.

reply

Good to know thanks! Someone at work mentioned there was some kind of bundle available with Hulu which made me wonder if it would just be available as a Hulu add on as well.

reply

I read somewhere that you can access D+ through Hulu, but I don't know how that works. I don't know that there's "deal" if you do Hulu and D+.

There is a bundle deal for D+ and Hulu and ESPN for $12.99 a month.

reply

Strange. It was working fine when my brother showed it to me this morning.

reply

how is it?

reply

There's a lot on there that I'll probably watch, but your mileage may vary. More than Netflix, for sure. I'm waiting for The Crown series 3, and then it's bye-bye Netflix again for a while. I haven't looked for the National Geographic stuff yet.

reply

Do they have all the older classics on there. How about the cartoons?

reply

Across the top of the home page they have buttons for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Nat Geo. Most of the content seems to be there now, but who knows.

On the left side menu, it has your Home, Watchlist, Movies, Series, and Originals buttons. What's nice is, if you click on say, Movies, it takes you to that page. Across the top of that page are tabs: Featured, All Movies A-Z, Action-Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Kids, Shorts, and Ultra HD and HDR. I like this arrangement better than other services I've used. If all you're interested in is Star Wars, they're all grouped together for you.

reply

I saw Old Yeller on there, but that's the only one that comes to mind. Well, actually, Mary Poppins, too. What kind of cartoons do you mean? Mickey Mouse? I haven't found him yet, but I may have missed him.

Never in my life would I want to watch the Star Wars movies on Disney+:

I'm perfectly happy with the "Despecialized Edition" you can download from the internet.

I'm going to repurpose this thread as Daddy Issues?
