Disney+

Just signed up. Was on the fence, but it seems like they're offering a lot for $7 a month. Anyone else here adding Disney+ to their streaming roster?

reply

Planning on it

reply

I am not in their target audience.

reply

Whom do you see as their target audience?

reply

people with younger kids/grand kids

reply

Then perhaps I'm not in their target audience either, but I'm getting it for all the content aimed at adults, of which I think there is enough to warrant the subscription.

reply

That's what I was thinking. It's not all Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and Snow White. There's a truckload of Disney product.

they have a countdown clock here in canada

reply

Once the game is over I'm going to see if it's up and running or if one really needs to wait until midnight to check it out.

reply

It better be a long game. It's about 6-1/2 hours until kickoff right now.

Edit: As in kickoff to Disney+ unless that clock hownos provided is only for Canada. I see the football game has gone to OT now.

reply

Remarkably, it has. This thing could have ended 31-14 Seahawks in regulation, but the 49ers have had lucky break after lucky break. Seems they may even win the thing.

reply

Do you not plan on watching The Mandalorian?

reply

I am not a Star Wars guy

reply

Fair enough. I'll subscribe long enough to watch the show and then probably cancel it. Unlike other streaming services, they aren't releasing the whole series at once - it will be one episode per week.

reply

I probably will.

Edit: Yep, I did. Free one-week trial, then $7 a month. Not bad.

reply

I just signed up. Looks like lots of good movies and tv shows.

reply

Call me a cheapskate, I won't mind. There's plenty of free stuff to watch.

reply

Supposedly Verizon is offering a year free. If so they are not making it very easy to find out how to go about doing it.

reply

Does it have the entire Fox movie catalog or not?

reply

Today I figured I should just wait until all of the Mandalorian episodes come out and then get Disney+, so I only have to pay for one month.
