What's your preference in alcohol?
I just bought:
Captain Morgan 100
Petron Gold
And Lagunitas Maximus - a high gravity ale
It's the holidays! Can't be empty-handed when family, friends and neighbors drop by. That's what I keep telling myself ;)
I know not everyone drinks, but most have a preference. What's yours?

I like beer, mostly.

If I feel like spirits it's usually a rum or whiskey, just on ice, I don't like it watered down and I can't handle drinks mixed with coke.

Haven't had much whiskey since teenager days. Bad memories of typical teen overindulgence. Should probably say blurry memories lol!

How is the Double Black different from the Black Label? I'm not much of a scotch drinker, but I still usually have a small amount on hand.

Double Black is smoother and has a quite noticeable smokey taste.

Picked up a case of Lagunitas Brown Shugga today. So glad it's back in season.

Just started drinking Lagunitas. I'll have to try that. What's different about it?

It's a sweet, smooth lager with a slightly spicy slant kind of like cider. It's also very potent.

Wow sounds good. The Maximus is 8.3. Doesn't take much. Just found out Lagunitas makes a cappuccino stout. Gotta try that!

Beer, but for spirits, I like Gin. I usually have a few different brands on hand. My favorite right now is Tom Cat Gin.

Haven't had much gin. What I had was fine, I guess maybe just the area we're raised in? I'll try most anything.

Had to look that up ;) Sounds slightly like green absinthe, but probably completely different.
God, Harvey wallbangers! My first drink. I was eleven, chasing my cousins around, thought my father had orange juice. Gulped it down. Big surprise!

The only thing I can drink without getting a hangover is Rum, with Captain Morgan being my preferred brand.

I haven't had a drink in over 2 years; just not important to me.

I understand. Sometimes I'll go months without a drink. But occasionally do want an alcohol buzz. I've never enjoyed being drunk, tho. I don't like like the loss of control.
