What's worst I always come with some brilliant plans that required some time. And mostly I quit after awhile.
almost everything about me is pretty bad, i guess. it's hard to pick out the worst thing, at least in any meaningfully specific way. it would be much easier to name the few positive things i have to hang my hat on.
the very worst thing, in that it's probably impacted my life the most, is that i seem to have a tone-deafness in my interactions with people that leads others to find me annoying & bothersome & contemptible in general.
Annoying, bothersome and contemptible. That is actually a pretty good description of the entire human race. Have a nice day !
You might be selling yourself short..Might that be one of your weaknesses?

shareI think all my life it has been this ability to be like a sponge..If I'm around positive upbeat people I'm on top of the world...I soak it up...but if I'm around depressed dreary people I shut down inside myself like a turtle.
I can't seem to overcome these outside influences.
I also think I've lost my capacity for joy..My father was a joyful happy person and it's like my ability to feel that way died with him..
I wonder if we have a limited allotment of happiness like producing too much dopamine in drug addicts...and when we've used up our share of joy we get cut off..
I wonder, too. Especially if we use up too much of it by substances. The ceiling of happiness becomes lower I'd guess.
shareMine is similar to that. I think my weakness is people. I only really feel happiness when I'm surrounded by good people. People seem to imbue me with happiness and calm. When I experience a lack of support or general loss of connection or strong friendships, I really lose my strength and my confidence in myself. I don't know why.
shareI think as a general rule, people are simply very social and gregarious and draw strength from that association.
Personally I'm much more a loner. I can spend days by myself. Still, after a few days, I feel a desire to socialize. At least a little.
I used to be a loner as a kid, but I've changed so much as an adult - as expected I suppose. And yes, I definitely draw strength from good people and feel burdened by not so good people.

I'm a writer, so not a particularly social job haha. My name is taken from Stephen King's IT. It comes from the poem recited by the character, Ben, as listed below if you're not familiar:

Hence, Wint3rFir3 was born. Also, I like the play on words, how it can be considered winter fir, like the tree. I like nature.

I read for entertainment unless it's an instruction manual. SF, fantasy, mystery, espionage... typical guy stuff I guess. Would I have read anything you've done?
No, my writing is very small time. But I love to read also. All the genres you listed are right up my alley, so we could def be buds.
shareI read alot of fairly small time authors. I'm big on free ebooks, I go thru several each month. It's possible I've seen some of your work.
shareI've recently been published in a novel containing a collection of short stories. No e-books yet. Very local stuff, a few small pieces in short story collections and local magazines. Honestly, it's not even small time, it's miniature time.
shareIn 6th grade I won second place in a state wide contest for short stories. It was an "unpolished" piece my teacher confiscated when she thought I was goofing off. She entered it without my knowledge. It didn't make the top ten in the national competition.

Congratulations to your 6th grade self. If she thought it was good enough to enter into a competition at a national level, she must've seen some natural talent.
