What I mean by "immersed" is that when you watch the movie, you have a suspension of disbelief and feel really emotional invested in what's going on in the screen.
The Terminator movies always give me this feeling, as well as Disney movies.
Older movies especially westerns and film noir. Also Roman Empire/Republic movies.
shareGood costume dramas will do that for me and they are better in the mini-series format as nearly all of them are based on books and so need the longer running time to tell the story more completely. Here are ten of the best:
