Is it just me?

Am I the only one who absolutely cannot transfer cooked rice from one vessel (rice cooker, plate, tupperware, etc.) to another without getting some on the table/floor/counter/etc., no matter what!

reply

I find it hard enough transferring it from a bowl/plate to my mouth, so I’m with you there.

My Indonesian wife suggests trying Sticky rice.

reply

Same here!😆

How are those maggots?

reply

Please tell me you're not one of those ding-a-lings who doesn't eat rice because you think it looks like maggots!

reply

No, just dropping a Lost Boys quote

reply

Whew! You had me worried there! :) I actually work with a guy like that.

Lol That was my favorite part in that very good movie. I’m not sure why, but I got a huge kick out of when that vampire was going around just dumping spaghetti straight from the can onto the plates and asking “Do you like bisketti?”

reply

You are not the only one, the rice gets everywhere

It's worth the inevitable clean up though because RICE is AWESOME!!!

Maybe we should all just eat rice on the lawn or terrace🤔

reply

I'm gonna cook it out there, too! ;)

reply

See, that's the hole in my plan...too brisk here just now for outdoor cooking:/

We're actually making chicken and rice tonight and I expect a bit of a sweep up afterward:)

In Canada we have milk in bags and it is impossible to pour it without spilling some.

reply

No of course it's not just you, and you know it...

reply

I had my suspicions. I guess it's just one of those uncomfortable bits of humanity that we try not to talk about.

reply

Yes, well done, it must be exactly like that...
