Is Netflix about to crack down on users who share logins?

I have never done this and no one has ever asked. I didn't realize it was an issue.

It's very common. I think they should crack down.

I share my account with my dad. It's the only way I can get him to watch movies as he refuses to pay for anything. We each have our own profile set up, and it says up to 2 TV's at a time are allowed on the account.

Would this affect him too?

If so, I'll just get rid of Netflix. Amazon Prime allows me to 'gift' him Amazon Prime for free, so he not only has access to Prime Video, but also overnight shipping and the like.

Amazon is much more liberal when it comes to users. I guess its not its primary business.

I thought that they encouraged it and that is why they changed their policy on how many screens you can have? But maybe not. I use crave too and its hard to share as they only let you have 2 screens and no option to buy more.

Netflix will stop working on some Samsung smart TVs next month due to 'technical limitations' - as the company announces crackdown on password sharing

Could be???? I am the one who pays for it in my family so if they crack down I'll shut everyone off. LOL.
