All Hail The Glittering Celestial Event✨

All hail Haley’s Comet! This Monday and Tuesday we will be able to see a meteor shower as particles the comet left behind in 1986 will be hitting Earth’s atmosphere and burning up, making the evening sky twinkle. The best view, with both naked eye and binoculars, is around the constellation Orion the Hunter, especially around Orion’s head and belt. The best viewing time will be after midnight, when your part of the world is on Earth’s nightside.

And what a marvelous night for a moondance 🌖 ‘neath the cover of October skies/A fantabulous night to make romance . . . .

...and dance to the moon I shall!!
This sounds awesome, I read a little about this. I wonder if we will be able to see Haley’s comet as well, or just the meteor shower? Either way, I’ll definitely be out there stargazing. You make it sound quite enticing rkane!

A song for my fellow moondancers

The comet is busy navigating the cosmos. It returns in 2062. The sparkling event might be called a signature of the comet’s presence in our solar system as it soared through in 1986. It was the father of the meteor shower.

Ah, I see. I hope the skies are as clear here tomorrow night as they are right now.

Those particles are finally showing up after 33 years and yet people give me crap for showing up a few minutes late to places.

Hey mister, sounds like some stargazing and a good hearty howl at the moon is exactly what you need. You should check it out tomorrow night.

Thank you for the reminder. I will try to catch it if possible. I had an accidental viewing of the 2001 Leonids meteor shower and have always tried to catch them since.

You are most welcome. The power and beauty of nature humbles all of us humans.
