No big horror movie this Halloween?

Doctor Sleep is being released after Halloween. Otherwise, nothing else that I can see.

reply

Yeah.

Just the Addams Family, but that's' more of an animated family comedy.

I did get to see Alien in the theater today, so that was kind of cool.

reply

Yeah it's odd. I was just talking about this a couple weeks ago. I guess that just leaves more room for the classics though.

Still don't know why they didn't release Hellboy around Halloween this year. Would have given them a few more months to re-edit the damn thing too.

reply

I'm sure there's a nice classic you can watch in theater.

reply

they don't do that here.

reply

Are you sure? Not even the arthouse theaters?

reply

there might be a few downtown but this playing older movies in theaters is just not done. if it is, it's a well kept secret.

There are a few older movies there. Take The Thing (1982) that seems to playing on Friday Oct 18 at TIFF which is the Toronto International Film Festival center downtown for one night. If this was in the suburbs I might go see it.

WATCHING THE THING IN THE SUBURBS?THAT SOUNDS OFF TO ME.

reply

Why only in the suburbs? I go downtown with the subway to see movies.

Too far and then there's traffic and parking.
