Vegan says she is ‘traumatized for life’ after eating pork roll

“My body is poisoned for life now, you know.”

Poor baby.

I'm afraid vegans are not people you can take seriously. They're idiots who are so extreme in their love of animals, they won't even eat eggs or drink milk, because it came from animals, despite not having to kill the chickens or cows to get it. That, and if you look into the recipes they use to cook with, they put a lot of oils in there, which isn't as good for you as they think. Part of the reason Vegans often are lacking in nutrients their bodies need, is because they are stupidly ignoring the ready-made sources of nutrients human beings were meant to use as fuel.

Humans are omnivores. We are designed to eat both meat and plants. Even vegetarians aren't as stupid as vegans when it comes to finding alternate nutrient sources.

I have noticed a few common traits when it comes to vegans.

1 - Many live in the city, and have no real grasp of nature beyond what little they see in parks or in movies.
2 - Many are ignorant of what humans need in the nutrition dept, despite all the [real] reading material available to them.
3 - A number of them are just vegans because their friends are, not because it was a[n informed] personal decision or real love of animals.
4 - They think it's a great way to diet, when I have yet to see a single thin vegan.
5 - They are a minority for a reason, because most people aren't stupid enough to take on such a ridiculous diet.
6 - Often they end up getting sick from not finding the right nutrient substitutes, particularly if there's a diet restriction or a pregnancy involved.

And yet, what right do we have to ridicule people because of their convictions?

Not that I'm a vegan, but I feel that we have to respect other people's choices.

reply

And who are they to lecture the rest of us in what we eat or how we treat animals? If they don't respect the rest of us, and yet demand preferential treatment, I sincerely doubt anyone's gonna bow down and kiss their feet in reverence. That, and their childish, fanatical devotion to their diet is ridiculous.

So she accidentally ate a pork roll. Big deal. I've heard of way worse things that have traumatized people for life. Eating a pork roll is minimal by comparison. She should try ripping out a horse's heart, still beating, eat that, and then get back to us.

reply

I don't believe that every vegan will lecture people like that. But when you feel very strongly about something, it might be hard to not express your opinion.

reply

Obnoxious person, but I think its important to point out that not all vegans are like this and most are just normal people who are doing it for health reasons. And for the people saying you can't get all of your nutrients, this is false. With proper planning, there are plenty of plant based proteins sources. The only thing you will have to supplement with is B12. Personally, I experimented with it for 8 months, but ended up going back to meat, however, I do believe that people in the Western World should cut back on it. We eat way more than is necessary and for many, it can lead to health problems. No one asking you to give up your meat, hell, I just ate some pork loin, but try to cut back and eat more vegetables and grains.

reply

Yes, I don't want to paint with a broad brush. What truly bothers me is the wacko vegans who put their young children, even infants, on such a diet, which can be quite detrimental at that stage in life.

Reminds me of this story...

reply

There's been a few reported cases like this. Very sad. Sick.

reply

Bloody hell. Knowing Gregg's sausage rolls I'd be surprised if there was any actual meat at all in their non vegan variety. What a silly bitch.

reply

I'd say this is deeply offensive for pigs. You don't tell somebody his body is poisonous and get away with it. I hope he's arrested for hate speech, he defamed that poor pig, calling it poisonous, just because it was a pig! That's racism!

reply

I walked into a Greggs once - I was traumatised for life too, I can tell you.

reply

LOL

She should have gone to the ER and had her stomach pumped. That option is cheaper on the tax payers than a life time of psychiatric care from this incident.

reply

This I can laugh at, but then you read something like this recent story here in Australia:

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2019/aug/22/vegan-parents-of-malnourished-toddler-sentenced-to-300-hours-community-service

and you realise that it's no laughing matter. What they did to that child is unforgivable.

imagine how she'd react to eating a bullet
