Any NFL fans wish they were also passionate about Association Football (soccer)?

I love the NFL, but I also wish I was passionate about Association Football as well. I know the basics of "soccer" but find it hard to understand the details of the sport (as I do American Football). It's hard to find games to watch regularly because of the lack of exposure in the U.S. I think it would be good to be well-versed in sports played around the world.

I don't like soccer but why is it so hard to understand? The offside rule is stupid.

Well of course, but I mean the other stuff like free kicks, penalties, and whatnot.
