I lived in Melbourne for a few years too. Great city.
It looks as ugly as hell now, maybe it always did. But so many old buildings have been torn down and the new ones look cold and dull. We have an idiot for premier as well.
shareYeah well to be fair I never thought it had the visual appeal of Sydney, but the culture and people are great and the night life shits all over Sydney.

I like Melbourne's lane ways that is where the more interesting things are. From what I have heard Sydney is more out in the open.
