Where is Frogarama?
where is froggy?
https://moviechat.org/user/Frogarama
Apparently he got banned.
sharehow do you know?
shareHe told me.
shareSeriously?
Why?
He says that it was for copying a reply and posting it again to the same person, instead of rephrasing it, which seems like a really crazy and trivial reason to be banned. I don't know if there is more to the story, but that is what he told me.
shareCrazy...
I feel like the Mods are very reasonable here...maybe it's all a big misunderstanding
Froggy is a smooth dude...I'm sure he'll hash it all out

"...there is more to the story, "
More than likely, this is the case.

☹️ I like The Frog.
shareI was looking at some of his last threads and I think I figured out what happened.
shareWhat happened? I remember him getting more and more testy and frustrated in the dreaded political threads. Was it that?
shareexactly.
shareOh 😐. I'll say it again, politics brings out the worst in everyone.
shareI didn't even realize he was that political.
shareI did. He often participated in the political threads here in GD, and on the Trump board.
shareI tend to stay away from both of these.
shareA wise move. I do too, but for a while there Trump was constantly on Trending so sometimes I peeked in.
shareI have seen so many good posters get banned from here because of the political stuff. One was Pete Rose who was great when he stuck to entertainment. Another was Malko who had great UK TV knowledge. The OrsonWelles guy from France also had good older movie knowledge. But they all had this woe is me political attitude. I find it disheartening.
shareYep, too many people go nuts when politics is the topic. It's a shame.
I don't remember Malko talking about anything BUT politics. He's the only one I've seen who was Woe Is Me, and relentlessly so.

If froggy wrote the first OP in your link, I will unabashedly say “Good Riddance!” “Thank God and Greyhound He’s Gone” comes to mind. Such hateful venom spewed at those who think differently from him is disgusting!
shareBut when your friend MMC2 says the same sorts of things, from the opposite POV, which he's done many times, you don't say anything, or think good riddance.
shareCat, believe me when I say I have never read anything from MMC2 close to this hateful venom. If he has I’ve missed it. MMC2 usually has one liners which some have been not very nice. But, this was one of the worst posts ever written.
He not only attacked who he did, he attacked *me* and others. Folks who voted for his hate symbol are deemed racists! This post was so over the line it landed in the far left field (baseball analogy). People like him made me stop my husband from wearing his MAGA red hat. It’s got to the point all red hats are a no no. I’m sick and tired of it! I readily admit I don’t like personally the occupant of *The Chair* (foot in mouth, stick a sock into it), but the economy is better than it’s been in decades. Poverty is down, more people working, less food stamps, etc. I wonder how many people on froggie’s bandwagon didn’t have jobs 4 years ago...but now do. Many times I hold my nose and vote with my pocketbook, not because he’s a good feller, he’s good looking, he’s the first whatever....sigh
Ksp, MMC2 has said things every bit as hateful, and I've pointed it out to you several times. It's that you're somehow blind to it when it's someone whose political position you agree with, but not when it isn't. That's what I object to.
shareAs bad as this? I’ve read replies where he was snarky (not nice at all) to an individual poster and his/her posts. But, I honestly haven’t read where he put *all* of H.C.’s supporters in a caldron. I’m not blind to his snarky replies....not at all comfortable when he gets too personal. But, his remarks are off the cuff and usually a one liner. Not excusing them, but I just chalk it up and decide it’s not worth the tiff. He hasn’t as far as I know not posted his Manifesto like froggie did. If froggie had posted short replies similar to MMC2 I would just dismiss those also. But, this was beyond the pale. I’m tired of being called a racist because of how I vote. I’ve voted for both parties in the past.
When you called me to task for broad brushing those whose ideology is different from mine I apologized. You were correct. My dear lifelong friend (who I stay with when in Florida) and family are of your political persuasion. No problems because it’s off limits. On one occasion she noticed I was wearing a Jackie O replica watch. Her response “I thought you didn’t like the Kennedys!” My reply? “I don’t....but I liked the watch!” No more was said.
Come on, Ksp, he regularly refers to those on the left as "Libtards," and otherwise insults and vilifies those with whom he disagrees politically. These are not merely one liners or off the cuff remarks, nor are they only directed at individual posters.
Yes, you apologised, and I appreciate that. I've also told you many times how much I admired that you and Naps, whose politics are opposite of yours, were able to discuss and remain not only civil, but friendly. That's as it should be, but usually isn't!
My dearest and closest friend is the same. I adore her. But I had to make it clear early on we just couldn't discuss politics. It works out fine :)
“he regularly refers to those on the left as Libtards"
Call me a Trumptard, a Trumpster or anything else; I would prefer being called anything other than a racist, a fascist and other similar nomenclatures. How do you prove a negative? I do wish MMC2 would curb his remarks. Ad hominem attacks gain nothing.
Please read froggie’s manifesto very carefully. He is writing words to incite violence. He is thinking the way Antifa thinks and behaves. I don’t believe MMC2 has reached that level yet. We are called the “New Brown Shirts”? We aren’t stifling free speech, we aren’t knocking old men off bicycles, we aren’t in gangland style attacking a reporter, we aren’t running the streets of Portland.
Edit: BTW, MMC2 is not my friend. He’s a poster to whom I rarely reply due to being fearful of his response. I don’t wish to encourage him.
I like Frog, but when it came to politics his attacks were often more aggressive and personal then necessary, especially on other boards. I was kind of shocked to see how he acted on the Jussie Smollett board. Why would anyone defend that guy?
shareI thought the Smollett thing was just plain stupid and funny.
Did you make it to Stockholm?
I already made it back a week ago, Mitch!
shareYou Europeans seem to get around quicker than us Canadians. How was it?
shareDon’t forget you can fit the whole of Europe into Canadia.
shareThat is true but you guys have a great train system. I know people who go to Europe and never need to rent a car.
shareI find it amazing that I can drive all the way from John O’ Groats in Scotland, all the way to Batam in Indonesia without having to get out my car (except for petrol and toilet breaks).
shareIt was really nice, but the weather did not cooperate.
sharethat is a bummer.
shareI only got completely soaked on Saturday. Otherwise the weather was actually not that bad.
Highlight of the trip: seeing a ship from the 17th century that the Dutch helped build and sank moments after it had set sail on its maiden voyage. Not entirely our fault!
