Acting so great you can believe the cast were the characters in real life.

I'll start off with Sons Of Anarchy. That was such perfect casting.

When I was about to watch the show I couldn't imagine Ron Perlman being a biker but he killed it and they all pulled off their roles fantastically.

I agree with sons. I wasn’t much of a Jax fan but I was always impressed with the accent he pulled off.
Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro in Fear and Loathing.

reply

I didn't like Jax to start with but by the end, he was that character.

Long time since I saw Fear & Loathing. Can't remember the acting, just bat country lol.

David Suchet as Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's Poirot.
Joan Hickson as Miss Marple in Agatha Christie's Miss Marple.
John Thaw as Morse in 'Inspector Morse'.
Nigel Hawthorne as Sir Humphrey Appleby in 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister'.
Charles Dance as Mr Tulkinghorn in Charles Dickens 'Bleak House'.
Ruth Wilson as Jane Eyre in 'Jane Eyre'.
Justine Waddell as Molly Gibson in 'Wives and Daughters'.
Grace Park as Sharon Valerii in 'Battlestar Galactica'.
Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully in 'X-Files'.
Mia Wasikowska as Sophie in 'In Treatment'.

Some great acting choices there but I'm looking for whole casts, not individuals, though.

reply

All of the above have very solid casts I just highlighted my favourite of the actors in each show.

reply

Pretty much the whole cast of Mad Men feels strangely real.

reply

Agree.

reply

They are all quite good and have that period look about them as well.

reply

Philip Seymour Hoffman as father Flynn in Doubt

reply

Joe Spinnell in anything, Especially Maniac (1980)

reply

The Beverley Hillbillies.

reply

Unbelievable (2019). Toni Collette, Merritt Wever and the whole cast.

reply

I just watched that series. Really great acting there too.

reply

Firefly
I never watch the outtakes because to me - they are those characters
