Good revenge themed movies? (do read the description)

I like movies like Law Abiding Citizen, Django Unchained and I saw the Devil.
Let me help you understand what mood I am in right now. I just watched an actual footage of a policeman who tasered a disabled man several times. Bust his head open because he was not complying. This disabled man did no do anything to provoke him or anything that would warrant such a punishment. He kept telling him that he has a mental disability and he is not resisting but the policeman wanted to dominate him totally. When the footage surfaced the the policeman resigned so they can not fire him. No action has been taken against him. As dumb as it sounds I wish I was a 7 foot tall monster who was present there at the time so I could have beaten that policeman to a pulp with my bare hands. That is the kind of movie I am looking for. I want to live variously as that man.

It is worth mentioning that I do not like movies like Kill Bill. It is highly unrealistic. I can not relate to the character because its too exaggerated. No woman or man can kill an army with a sword like that in the movie. It is sci fi.

Dead Man's Shoes (2004) Once seen never forgotten ⤵️

reply

Damn. That is pretty close to what I just described.

reply

Enjoy, Its bleak but good 👍

reply

To clarify do you mean strictly revenge films against abusive/crooked cops or anything where the underdogs get their revenge against their abusers/aggressors?

reply

Doesn’t have to be cop. I spit on your grave is another example.

reply

have you seen 'revenge' from 2018? i think it's really well made, quite brutal at times. streaming on shudder if you use that service.

reply

Is this the one? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6738136/

reply

that's the one, yes. i've actually been planning to give it a re-watch.

reply

A re-watch huh? Gotta watch then. Movie looks promising by the looks of the trailer. Though, it gave out the whole story.

reply

oldboy, maybe?

reply

I have watched that movie. It was a good one.

Death Wish (74)
A meek man takes out his grief on an urban hellhole after losing his innocent family to violent muggers
It's a classic

reply

I usually avoid movies that go back 1990s. But I guess I can make an exception if you say it's really good.

reply

If your avoiding movies from before the 90’s I have to say your missing out on the best of the revenge genre.

reply

I guess I will take a look

reply

Agreed here about this classic! Paul Kersey is the man in my book.

Indeed it is! I would suggest Death Wish first and then move on to Ms 45.
