I just got a job there doing some security. I like their products but shocked at their prices. Sure, it's for the "the rich" and as veblen goods, being over priced makes it feel exclusive and "luxury", but I still shake my head at things like a t-shirt being $995.

My wife likes LV. My 5 year old daughter has some lovely LV outfits. I've got some LV stuff as well. We tend to go to Harrods when it's sale time or Bicester Village, which is a Designer Outlet place, so we never pay full price.
Your job sounds interesting - you've had some cool gigs recently - how was Hugh Jackman (you were doing his security recently, right?)?
I saw maybe 25 minutes of his show and although he's not a great singer, he's a great storyteller and the stage production was very good.

shareI've always been fascinated by high-end things. Swiss wristwatches. Bespoke suits from Saville Row. Custom made shoes. Leather goods from companies like LV or Hermès. It is because of the highest quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship that goes into making them.
Of course I don't own any of this stuff, except for a couple of Swiss wristwatches that don't come anywhere near the incredibly expensive ones.
