I could not be friends with anyone who said a line like that. And if they were "family", I'd change my surname.

In articles (on in general), someone will start a paragraph, followed by the loathsome "Yes, you read that correctly" - like a cow landed on Mars.

Having “a case of the Mondays”. (Office Spaces fans, am I right?)

“Killing two birds with one stone” - 😢

“To make a long story short” - because it is usually said at the end of an already longwinded story.
