Do you eat a lot of fish?

I eat fish occasionally. But fish is good! Flounder and sole are probably my favorites!

reply

Yeah, especially in the summer. I've eaten quite a lot this year!

reply

That's great!

reply

We catch a lot of fish here so the freezer stays stocked with catfish, bream, bass and sac-a-lait.

reply

Ah, nice!

Agreed!

reply

At least three days a week.

reply

Nice!

reply

It is! I started cutting red meat out of my diet, which I used to eat every damn day for 40 years, cause I was starting to feel like shit all the time. Don't feel loggy and sluggish no more. Fish makes you feel energized!

reply

Indeed ! Do you work for for a fish company?

reply

My mom made excellent flounder and sole, which she bought very fresh from a farmer's market. Those days are over. Nowadays, I only eat fish & chips and McDonald's Filet-O-Fish.

reply

What happened?

reply

Well, I'm 60 years old and not much of a cook. But flounder/sole is super easy to prepare, once you've got the cooking time down. I'm not sure same-day-caught fish is available in Reno. We are less than a three hour drive from the Pacific Ocean, so maybe it is, I haven't really investigated.

I like the oily fish - mackeral, herring and caplin

reply

Mackarel is too dry for me....

reply

Wah? You're not buying the right kind! I bought a whole smoked mackarel recently and it was so fatty. Yummy! Fresh mackarel is also very tasty.

reply

Perhaps I should check out a different supplier....

reply

you have to marinate it

reply

I guess that is the key to good mackerel.....

reply

Don't like it. I hear its good for you, though.

reply

To be honest, fish has never been my first choice.

reply

Mine, either. I can do a tuna sandwich but that's as far as I go. It's probably some kind of sin because I live in the land of 10,000 lakes...

reply

About once a week. I should eat more, but I’m always scared about choking on a fish bone.
