What do you think? Yes, it's early, but watchable?

Sorry, bumping this one. Is anyone the least bit interested?? I liked the original so I may see this one eventually. Then again, depending on reviews, maybe not.
shareIt looks really good...It seems we will be spared a repeat of the Kelly McGillis perfume advertisement sex scene but Goose is dead and buried...I think this movie needs 100% more Goose:/
shareI agree. I didn't like Goose's demise. Cruise claims this is all real (I read this somewhere). I'm assuming he means no CGI. That would make it more interesting to me.
shareCruise pulls a lot of crazy stunts and despite his kooky personality he's probably being honest here, he always comes off as crazy and honest
I will continue to miss Goose thoughðŸ˜
I had to look it up, but he's 57 now. I have to say he sure doesn't look it in the trailer. Sure, he doesn't look young anymore, but looks good for 57.
shareYeah, looks mid 40s. Incredible for his age. This is the oldest I've seen him look, though. In the mid 2000s through 2010 it was like he'd barely aged at all from the 90s.
shareAgreed...the guy still has the looks (lucky guy!)
shareMaverick has aged quite a bit. The airplanes look different. Did I see a lady pilot? Good! Oh no, not the shirtless volleyball again. Where’s Kelly McGillis? Guess that romance lost its loving feeling. Think Meg Ryan will show up as a mom character of one of the pilots? They should have cast Ed Harris in the original. He puts the military in military films.
They’re my thoughts so far.
I agree with you especially in regards to Ed Harris...the man is a legend
There simply MUST be an oily, shirtless volleyball game that's super macho but also a bit uncomfortable to watch...the female audience will demand it!
And please God no Kelli McGillis sex scenes...the Top Gun sex scene remains to this day the most ludicrous love scene I've ever witnessed...I mostly recall lots of candles and perfectly billowing curtains...
Jeez, if that's how couples really get frisky I've been doing it wrong this whole time!
I have to admit I never liked Top Gun, but I just don't get why it would need a sequel more than 30 years later. Hollywood desperately needs more originality.
