Birds 🐦🐦🐦

Has anyone experienced a bird attack? I have not, but maybe I should be ready.

reply

No, but I have been to Bodega Bay.

reply

Was it nice? Or kind of creepy?

reply

That was a murder of crows with Annie on that playground, lol.

reply

Oh, definitely! The Birds was the first Hitchcock movie I saw.

reply

I'm sure he would have had fun with that expression.

reply

The picture of Suzanne Pleshette's Annie after she was killed by the birds is etched in my memory. 😬

reply

Mine too, one of those iconic scenes in cinema.

reply

Okay, this is a little bit weird, but I tried to tell myself she was just wearing sunglasses. You know, round ones a la John Lennon style. I did that with all the victims who had their eyes pecked out. Or were they eaten? Yeah, ick.

reply

It was nice. I don’t remember seeing any birds though:-)

I was living in Santa Rosa at the time and just mainly drove through while heading to the coast. I thought one of the buildings I saw was the schoolhouse but I’m not sure. I would have to see if I have any pictures of it.

Talking Birds!! Talking Birds!!

There's lots of great, fun cockatoo vids on YouTube, but this parakeet speaking Russian is so cool:

He was probably born in Russia. πŸ˜‰ Talking birds are so much fun!

reply

Did you know crows can talk? It's not common, but it is possible. Their ability is similar to parrots talking.

reply

Crows are nasty. There are a lot of him in my neighborhood. Sometimes they swoop down and try to attack me. My neighbor uses a pellet gun to scare them away, and it works but only for a few days.

reply

They scare me. There so big! Not some cute little chirping bird.

reply

My cat got chased and dive bombed by a group of birds. I figure it was fair play because that cat has caught millions of birds.

reply

I find it interesting that a group of ravens is called an β€œunkindness of ravens”.
