A black, female James Bond would be amazing!

It would also be a financial disaster but that's the price of political correctness I feel.

reply

I'm looking forward to the new Bond, actually.

reply

And what studio do you think would put up the money to produce and distribute a film they don't believe will make money?

Make no mistake, you may think Hollywood is run by liberal elites, maybe it is, but NO ONE is going to finance a film on principle alone. If they don't believe it will make money, it won't get made. End of story.

reply

But this film can piggy back off of the James Bond name. If they made a new Lord of the Rings movie and the leads were a black man, a transgender person and a disabled woman, it would still make money from the name alone.

reply

While destroying the LOTR franchise.

That said, I don't think a black, female Bond has the potential destructive capacity as fucking up a LOTR franchise with non-canon leads. If it's not profitable they can just go about finding a bankable star that is.

reply

A studio that made a deal to settle outside court.

reply

I would watch this Black James Bond lady movie...It might be good!
Black women are pretty sexy and I never thought Bond was a real guy...just an alias and a 007 license and each Bond was bumped off every few years... I always assumed each James Bond died although a poster here deflated my argument about a year ago...something to do with continuity if I recall

Anyway, Craig has been acting like an insufferable weenie for years over the role...I think I've had enough of him (a jackass who gets paid millions to play pretend only to cry about it all...bullshit!)

Bring on a hot sister that's sexy and lethal...too bad Pam Grier is a bit too old
I'm very interested in a black lady Bond...sound like a fun movie to me!

reply

Yes agreed colored women in general, mmmm.... they are most of the female population, too.

Black is very nice, always, and black girls love me too. Like hanging out in a largely black neighborhood, smoking weed and playing GTA probably, my friend's female cousin comes through, expecting that I'll be background material like most normal looking white dudes, and she's putting on her normal "hood rat mannerism even though we both know this is actually a wealthy and very mixed neighborhood" act... but I hit on her right away and she loved it, responded like I'd suddenly hulked out into Dwayne Johnson. If she'd had time, she would have come home with me 100%

reply

Funny thing Froggy...I'm very loyally married but the mature black ladies at my job do seem to take a crazy interest in me...And I'm whiter than snow on sleet!
We do seem to speak the same lingo though;)

Oh well, the Sisters are super hot...but I remain a good boy...If you're single go for it...I'd be very interested in some details lolol!

reply

This skit is AWESOME and hilarious....

I have a feeling you and I turn out like this guy (and I am indeed a farmland raised midwest boy), except we don't have the turnoff at the end.

Enjoy!

reply

Great stuff...that final Jeopardy! question likely killed poor Doug LOL
Hanks is a gem!

reply

That skit is perfect! And true! Black and white poor folks have many things in common, but the rich use racism to prevent them from uniting against the rich and their agenda to give themselves tax cuts that everyone else pays for.

reply

Yeah it's easily one of the top SNL skits of all time. I remember seeing it the night it was aired, I just cracked up laughing.

And I wrote out a slightly related story of a black girl I met above, a cousin of a guy I was hanging out with, she was doing the hood routine to me because I was the only white guy there in a "not very white" neighborhood (very nicely mixed, all races really), and to an out-of-towner it might look like the wrong neighborhood to get lost, but it was funny to me because it's literally a really wealthy area. It just doesn't look it at first glance because the houses are mostly older and smaller, but still not cheap because of the property values there and how long the lots have been occupied. Nice houses, exquisite interiors, just compact and maybe like an average of 30 years old each, something like that.

It's not my neighborhood and she knew that, but I guess she assumed I might assume she would be "hood." She dropped the facade right away when it didn't fly, though lol =D

reply

Oh and one thing that makes my story there more clear: We were hanging out in the garage late at night, and she came in through the garage door, so in context, you can see how she might be tempted to assume what she did.

I don't blame her, I loved the entire encounter! She's great, too.

reply

It sounds like you'll regret not seeing her, again. The ball is in your court. Good luck!

reply

Did she assume you were a whiteboy hillbilly guy surrounded by your various autos and tools?
I usually come off like this...all sweaty and stinking of motor oil and cut grass:(

You really don't read that way to me Froggy...I've always figured you to be quite young and handsome, a bit stylish even...All of that sounded weird and creepy as hell, apologies...

Get after that girl buddy...She might just be the one and a cozy girl in bed can't be beat!

reply

I was still dressed from work, but casual Friday, BUT we are expected to look nice. Long sleeves, long pants (jeans is the main idea overall actually), and sneakers if you want but they need to be worth wearing. So I probably looked preppy, I probably looked out of place, maybe she assumed I was there buying weed on the DL....

See this is so funny too.... This is not a stretch even after legalizing because her cousin she came to pick up, he just opened a small dispensary with a buddy, AND it was past closing hours of all nearby shops including her cousin's... so maybe I needed street bud like the old days LOL

Anyway, she knew everyone but me, and she may not actually know the house is the oldest of maybe 3 properties owned by a Lockheed engineer with military project classification.

Yes I'm also gonna pitch him an investment eventually, probably just ask at min for $10k for patent attorney funding. That would be nothing for him.

reply

Oh and don't get the wrong idea, I wasnt playing or ploying.

She saw.my response to her first, and that forced nasty behavior is all too perfect a match for my tastes. I liked her, and still do. Been meaning to inquire again.

reply

Progress is worth it.

reply

I believe in progress too Jacob

To be fair I'm a bit of a beer-swilling garage dweller and I stink of oil and cut grass so maybe I'm not the best spokesman here...We really need a handsome dude to spearhead this #PROGRESS2019 campaign!

I bet Brad Pitt is available but I lost his number:/

reply

We still don't know if it will be a financial disaster.

reply

She's not a female James Bond. She'll inherit his number 007, but she'll have her own name.

Craig was controversial because of his blond hair, but he revived the franchise. I'm not a Bond fan, but I watched his first two movies. Now, I'm curious about the new 007 so I will likely see it. It will depend on the script. If it's good, then I can see it making plenty of money.

reply

Yeah what I said before I read your earlier response 🙄😄

reply

Daniel Craig revived the James Bond franchise just because Casino Royale was one heck of a Bond movie, if not the best.

Had he started with Quantum of Solace he would be remembered as the actor that ruined Bond forever.

reply

Craig still brought a lot to the role: good acting, charisma, and raw Bond sex appeal even though he's not classically handsome. I've only liked two Bonds, Moore and Craig. Moore because of HIS humor and Jaws. Craig because he really was a great Bond. I never liked Connery.

I agree that Casino Royale was a much better movie, but I paid to see the controversial blond Bond who had great reviews.

reply

It depends on the writing.

If the writing is good, the gender, race, or sexual orientation doesn't really matter.

reply

I tend to agree...Bond could use a kickstart, I'm looking forward to this one

reply

But she won’t be “James Bond”. She’ll be 007. I thought she might be his daughter Jamie, but now I hear Daniel Craig’s James Bond is going to play a cameo in it and will hit on the new 007.
