Do you have any phobias?

I personally think that I have globophobia, which is a fear of balloons.

That 99 Luftballoon song must be torture.

reply

Huh, I like that song, let's just not play it when HodWatt's around!

reply

Actually, I love that song. The phobia comes into play when someone is playing with a balloon or rubbing it with their hands. 😬

reply

It's a fun song!

That rubbery sound is very annoying...What the hell is wrong with people?
I've become comfortable with the fact that I'm too polite to beat up annoying strangers but I'm frequently tempted...that rubber squeezing sound deserves a beatdown!

reply

It's the anticipation of the balloon popping that scares me! Imagine 99 Luftballons popping simultaneously!

reply

That would likely lead to an underpants change:(

public speaking

reply

This public speaking thing only scared me the first time until my middle school drama teacher gave me a good shaking and straightened me out...she'd probably get arrested today but by God she was right...the audience is there to be entertained and a good boy does his best...I needed her to beat me up a bit

My current job involves lots of public speaking and I don't worry about what the (mostly adult) audience thinks one bit...they will sit and listen

The stage or dais needs to be owned!

reply

I have phobophobia.

reply

Moths. I can handle butterflies ok but moths make me break out into a cold sweat

reply

Oh, you would simply hate my garage!

reply

I'm exactly the same! Butterflies don't bother me but moths have always terrified me.

reply

Fear of mice...they creep me out so badly

reply

Glue traps Sam...the results are often pretty gross but they will wipe out a rodent colony in a few weeksπŸ‘

I have not seen a single rodent in my home in well over a year
Those plug in sonic blasters seem
to be working as well...like 20 bucks for 4 of them at Walmart!
Try the sonic blasters and glue traps...I despise mice too, give them hell and they'll go elsewhere for sure dude

reply

I fortunately don't have a rodent problem at my current residence. But I was at a movie a couple months ago and a mouse ran by me and damn near gave me a heart attack. It was the movie Greta starring Chloe Grace Moretz and wasn't exactly the best movie to begin with but I couldn't enjoy the last 25 minutes of it.

reply

Please don't listen to him. With a glue trap you'll be confronted with a distressed and suffering animal, which you'll have to finish the job itself. They can also potentially escape if the glue isn't sticky enough. Last time I saw a glue trap in use was some years ago at an office; the animal's face was partially ripped off from struggling all night and it was still alive, its hind legs were broken. Needless to say, they weren't used again after that.

reply

I actually encountered that at an old office I worked at as well and as much as I don't like mice, it was pretty heartbreaking to see and turned me off from ever using glue traps myself.

reply

This is awful advice. Glue traps?

They're inhumane torture devices, should be banned. The animal gets stuck, self-mutilates trying to get off; ripping its skin and face off, gnawing at limbs to escape. It's animal cruelty, nothing more.

Use a proper trap that kills them quickly if you have to kill them. Being scared of a mouse is no excuse to give it a prolonged and extremely painful death like that.

reply

Claustrophobia. Can't stand to be in elevators, for instance.

reply

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

I really don't, but anytime you can use it why not?

I do have coulrophobia though, and mascots.
