"Un-cool" habits"

Do you have habits that would be labelled "uncool?"

For example, I wear socks with sandals although to be fair, I only do it around the house. I can't go barefoot thanks to Bailey, my son's chocolate lab, who is living with me this summer. She slobbers water on the floor after she drinks from her water dish and I just can't deal with getting my socks wet, so I always wear a pair of slip-on sandals when I'm walking around the house. When I go out, I always put shoes on, but around the house, yes, sandals with socks. Very nerdy and un-cool.

I'm dragging on a Newport as we post...I'm aiming for a huge heart attack or stroke some lousy day, I'm quite sure I'll be drinking a cocktail when the day comes😎

I do know that smoking and drinking do go hand in hand for sure. It’s almost like having a smoke while your drinking, or in my case a dip between drinks, enables you to drink trice as much. Lol

I always take the other person's feelings into account
I'd like to go full 'id' but that polite part of me always says 'no, pump the brake, be polite!'

So I act politely, it's not that hard

I was off the butts for 3 years
The work stress got to me a while back though lol

I really don't see why wearing socks with sandals would be so uncool. That is what I would do, if I would wear sandals outdoors (which I don't, because I would just lose my balance and fall over).

My naked feet are ghastly things to behold anyway, because I have a bad case of psoriasis (which means ugly spots of rash and weirdly shaped toenails). So I managed to freak a little girl out once, when I was barefoot at a beach! Thus, I think I'm doing everybody a favor by not showing my feet off.

I enjoy 'birding'
Imagine my thrill at finding a large colony of Scarlet Tanagers not far from my home during a fishing trip!

I am actually just back from birding the high Andes. If anything is so far from cool that it circumnavigates the universe and approaches cool from the far side, that would be it.

And I've never seen a Scarlet Tanager. Well done!

Sounds exhausting but beautiful, I'm a bit jealous:)

The Tanagers are piled up in a narrow river valley I fish sometimes...several of them burst out of the thickets when I wandered away from the river to have a look around the bog...They scared the hell out of me if I'm honest! I probably startled them too haha!

I wouldn't say that's uncool. If you like birds I can see the appeal of checking them out. It's almost like going to the zoo.

Apparently clipping your fingernails in public is taboo in the US, and nobody told me until I was in my teens and 20s. I personally don't find that activity nearly as gross as watching someone clip their toenails in public. But apparently I'll have to confine fingernails to the bathroom or home as well.

there's this guy at work who never buys anything and brings it into the office such as muffins, donuts or cookies. but he always the first guy to chow down when other people brings in food. cheap bastard.

Do you mean uncool as in dorky? Many are interpreting it as 'antisocial' or 'not beneficial'. Please specify.
