Expressions that should disappear
My bad. What the heck is wrong with "I'm sorry?"share
99% of expressions that are preceded by "Literally"share
I may literally be be guilty of this
But I'm totes trying to post better:)
Totes is a huge guilty pleasure of mine! I love it.share
I use 'totes' all the time
I'm pretty sure I sound like an idiot but I totes don't care!
Another guilty but F that, not so guilty pleasure is AF.
I even used it in my big prediction topic on Rise of Skywalker, you'll love it, check it out!
AF AF AF AF AF
Wow...just read that on your suggestion, I wont lie, I have enjoyed all of the Star Wars films (except Solo..that was sadly lousy) For the most part they were fairly fun, escapist nonsense...I do get that huge fans are sort of pissed off though
I personally really like the Rey character in the new movies...it's kind of hilarious that a tough female character gives nerdy dudes strokes!!!
Consider me a Rey loyalist...I really dig the character, she's cool!
Rey is a badass and Rey Palpatine, his only natural born daughter perhaps, gives me goosebumps and excites me.
Anakin was to Sidious/Emperor, eventually
What Luke was to Vader
And what Rey will be to Sheev Palpatine
Its the perfect ending to this arc and it even makes me appreciate The Last Jedi in a newfound way.
I am going to organize it even nicer into an article style setup, make a custom image of the three dual-faces Face/Off style comparisons I listed...
And Im going to submit it as the latest Blog post for Moviechat here.
After the Wired article, theres a chance to get some momentum going here, and if MC can be remembered for being the first to publish what might end up being the "cracking" of this plot, it could be big news and solidify MC as an actual movie news site.
Seriously, I would without a doubt value your support on this, not even sure what that means yet but its just internet stuff. It can't be much.
I'll back you up and read your blog...You are one of MC's all stars...count on me my friend
It also tickles me to piss off fake tough guys...A GIRL HERO!? WHAT THE HELL?!?
HOW CAN THIS BE!?!
Cracks me up lol
Yes they are indeed fun to piss off... or maybe even piss on Lol!
Oh and I have no blog, I mean this abandoned Moviechat Blog we have a link to up top.
I have emailed Jim before, and seen an immediate result without him even responding other than knowing I will see the change.
I mean this literally: Less than a 30 minute turnaround and it was not a small deal.
I believe he will be open to more feedback or especially a contribution which could pan out into a.big enough deal to be worth trying!
Im getting into self branding, cross promotion, marketing, networking, and seducing people with the power of mutual potential.
Turns out Im a natural and my 2 week old results are barrelling FAST toward career level projects and funding and one day REAL money lol!
I wanna include MC because I like to contribute to what I love.
Its why I post!
Oh and PS....
Yeah Solo wasnt great but I liked it well enough. Its way above average for that scifi pulp genre and style!
I haven't seen Rogue One yet still other than a few scenes. Should I get the 3D blu ray?
I don't say this lightly...Rogue One might well be the best of the Star Wars films and I loved a few of them...Empire might be tops but Rogue one really nailed the 'war movie' feeling
Please see it, it's the bomb
I don't buy physical media anymore but Rogue One is really worth owning...A fabulous, tragic, noirish space tale
I adore the entire climactic battle and ending. It all seemed very potent and the action/fx are stunning.
If what leads to that is on par with the ending, I'll probably cry.
I'll get the 3d BD. You convinced me!
I said this to a good pal and he totally agreed...it's really an amazing war movie and we were both shocked by the end of it
Rogue One might just be the very best of the Star Wars films...it's a 10/10
My gift in exchange for that is to beg of you to please see Alita, its coming out soon and its one of the best sci fi movies ever, so beautiful and emotional and badass and hardcore AF
3d if possible it is THE best.... this is not paid promotion lol this is for you if you havent seen it yet. Its on streaming already
Alita...I'll hunt it down
I'm on it manana man!
"Not too bad" is troublesome too since it implies a degree of badness.share
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't even know what that means.share
It's what the young folk call their boyfriend or girlfriend.share
🙄 I'll never understand why a proper word doesn't suffice. I guess I'm officially an old fogie, if that's even the right word.share
I'm sorry but I cringe when I hear a young male refer to his significant other as "man," e.g. "hey, man..." It got under my skin so bad one day, I called out a coworker ( he was actually in his mid-40s) on it. Granted, he had a reputation within the company for his thick-headed stupidity. So, we've devolved from sweetheart, to babe, to man while simultaneously planning on revisiting the moon in the near future. Got it !share
Yep, this one should go away, too.share
I think the old "norm" of saying "my old lady" or "my old man" is intensely disrespectful. I would never refer to someone I love in such a manner.share
I hate that too.share
Not a fan of that phrase either
I do know a biker guy that calls his wife his 'old lady' and she doesn't seem to mind...I think she likes it
They are a sweet couple but it does sound pretty weird
I've never used this expression because, like you, I consider it very disrespectful. I don't think anyone in my family ever used it, either.share
Exactly how I've always felt about that stupid expression and I've never used it.share
I thought "my bad" made the person sound ignorant. Just use the proper words, please.share
It is ignorant! Imagine being a small, impressionable child growing up in a home where that expression is constantly used. He's going to equate every simple mistake with " bad. " Forget completely about "To err is human..."share
Yep. Not something I'd want to utter at a board meeting or other important setting. Same with cursing. People get so accustomed to it they will blurt things out at the worst possible moments.share
Yeah, it's kind of sickening how ubiquitous it's become in our present culture. I encountered it just the other day in a movie's dialogue.share
Oh snap! 🙄share
Calling things ironic when they're really not.share
I don't know why so many people have come to think ironic means coincidental. Dictionaries, people, dictionaries.share
Hmm ... I wonder if I use the word "ironic" poorly. One of my more favorite words. I thought it was pretty simple.share
I think the use of the word 'literally', even when used correctly, is overdone. If something is literal, you don't need to state that it is.share
Unless you're saying something that is often said figuratively. I think it's justified then.
Dick Shawn literally died on stage years ago!
People who say things like "the Brewers were LITERALLY CRUSHED by the Giants last night" need to be beaten to death with shovels.
