Nah it's all good..I said my piece and if Kaspar wants to call me a cry baby I don't sweat it.

reply

Kaspar is total id, fueled by lightening and cooking wine
Around here we call him 'Moose' and he's actually a pretty fun guy

He does go bonkers every so often and that's why I dig him

He grows on you and believe me he's given me both barrels too😃

reply

👍 Yes, it's showing consideration and respect to those who would prefer to avoid politics. It's not hard, especially now that it's easier to access that board. Heck, you might even get more responses from posters who are happy to discuss politics.

reply

I waited 8 years for progress with Obama... Got nothing but right-winged bullshit.

reply

He was far too much a centrist attempting to appeal to all.

I prefer binary extremists, personally =)

reply

He bailed out Wall Street, expanded our wars to 7, did nothing over Standing Rock, wanted to sign the TPP, or as Ralph Nader called it "NAFTA on Steroids", but, he did cut 500 million in food stamps for just a single year. A president is supposed to make his case to the people, and should have told the people, "Congress wants to remove the food from your mouth". No one went to prison for ruining the world economy. Obama punished whistleblowers more than the previous presidents combined. Fracking, drilling in the Arctic.... Libya, Syria and Yemen are still a disaster.

This is not a big deal, but I couldn't believe the gay folks who did nothing when Manning was busted. Obama clearly said (and Hillary), "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman" and then when the CONSERVATIVE supreme court legalized it, 5 minutes later, rainbow colored lights were all over the white house. Talk about pandering to retards.

Very right-winged.. Even that Republican health care plan, endorsed by Heritage Foundation (etc etc) didn't have a public option. He couldn't even get Max Baucus, a Democrat who retired, to vote his way. Yet, any time trillions of dollars were needed for the military .. "You got it"

I don't see any centrism.

reply

Artificial centrism perhaps?

Illusory may work better than Artificial, but I like it because illusion is artifice.

reply

He opened up Cuba.. Tried with Iran. And both were overturned immediately, because it was an agreement, and not a treaty.

reply

There is so much propaganda required for states to exist and for empires to self justify.

Even educated political types are often still swayed by things like WWII worship and propaganda like "the greatest generation."

Yet the Allies were absolutely terrorists, committed war crimes just like the rest, and used 2 nukes just so they wouldn't become the weapons of "the other side" and this allowed the US to glorify and monopolize nuclear weaponry while hypocritically disarming other states.

If even just the firebombing of Tokyo happened today, all Allied leaders would rightfully be seen as terrorists and if they werent hauled off to the Hague, I would hope the White House would be stormed and burned to the ground.

reply

Dresden, too.

People should get out more, and read and experience history from another perspective, as opposed to the typical, "America is the greatest, I don't need to leave it to know about other places, I have twitter"

Thumbs Up ^^^

(many people don't wanna admit they were duped, so they dedicate their entire lives defending someone who believes OPPOSITE of what they do.. But maybe they don't believe? Maybe its the little "D" next to the name that molds their bullshit into a cake)

I recently came upon a program in my tv menu which looked like a documentary about Obama. I hit the 'info' button out of curiosity and discovered it was all about his speeches.

I thought, " why am I not surprised ? " Mr. hot air so-called lofty rhetoric. That's his only real legacy.

reply

[deleted]

I disagree. I didn't vote for him or support his policies, yet I think he accomplished most of what he set out to do with health care. Obamacare could be struck down by the courts tomorrow (and that may yet happen), but he still permanently moved the country in that direction. Any replacement law would have to cover pre-existing conditions, children until early adulthood, etc.

reply

WOW. Obama's main piece of legislation in his 8 years was Obamacare. And it was and is a disaster.

One of the many good things Trump did was get rid of that Individual Mandate Penalty.

With all the left wing clowns running for the Democratic nomination Trump will have my vote in the general election.

reply

let me count how many post before the shit puns start coming out...
