I'm filling in for Stonekeeper. He is moving into a new house today and won't have internet access, so he asked me to post this weekly thread. Hope everyone had a good Canada Day or 4th of July or a nice week. I'm on vacation this week so I plan to watch a lot of movies. Comment what you watched with your rating and if you have seen any of the ones I watched, comment your rating for those too.

I agree with you on The Invitation and On Dangerous Ground.

Holme and Watson got panned big time.

Haven't seen any of yours. Hotel Artemis looks interesting and I've been thinking about checking out The House That Jack Built.

Artemis is silly action fun with a good cast (Jodie Foster was great)

Jack was a bit crazy, not everyone loved it but I like some of Trier's movies and this was brutal and very visual

The Great Escape (1963) 10/10 Great classic WWII flick.
Rim Of The World (Netflix this year) 5/10 although kids may like it more than I did.

I was a little underwhelmed by The Great Escape. It is a 7/10 for me. Haven't seen Rim of the World.

Glad you enjoyed Cam and The invitation!

Cam:I gotta say that I enjoyed the abrasive tones of this movie, the atmosphere, acting and directing combined together really got me into the story so I felt the tension. The first half of the movie is great and the second half is okay. Spoiler:I think it could have been better if they made the Tinker guy’s part of the story bigger. He was connected with all the copied girls yet, not much came out of him. My rating: 7/10

The Invitation:This was a mystery/thriller just like I like them. It’s actually one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Holds you on the edge of your seat until the moment it finally pops and shit hits the fan. Not watching any trailer beforehand was a great idea too! This movie is like the serious version of the movie The Mansion(2017) , another MovieChat Special we had.
