Stonekeeper's Summer Game: I recommend THIS Mystery Movie #462 (Grosse Point Blank 1997)

This Game is getting out of control!! Time for me to grab the reins again.

So you guys like to play games? Here is an investigation game that can be time consuming but it's lots of fun. Basically, I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guys are going to guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve a love triangle.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints, the point goes to the OP and he/she gets to start another one.
- Movie must have at least 3500 votes. Otherwise, add a Bonus Hint.

Hint 1: The Purge (2013): At least one Oscar nominated cast member
Hint 2: The Go-Getters, 2018: Comedy genre in common
Hint 3: The Cooler (2003): At least 30 000 votes on Imdb
Hint 4: Parenthood (1989): At least one cast member with at least one Golden Globe nomination
Hint 5: Father of the Bride (1991): Romance genre in common
Hint 6: Dinner for Schmucks (2010): My boy Sir Paul McCartney is on the soundtrack
Hint 7: Annie (1982): USA/English
Hint 8: 50 First Dates (2004): Cast Member in common: Daniel Edward Aykroyd
Hint 9: Pleasantville (1998): Imdb rating between 6 and 8

Big Dmac8 wins again with Grosse Point Blank. I rewatched it this week after so many years and realised it's one of my favorite rom-com. More info in my Sunday Review.

Sooo, a few games back, Fred recommended a film called The Go-Getter. Accident will happen and I ended up with this little oddity. You might like it, it's Canadian. And dark.

reply

cool, cool

reply

That Go-Getters movie is a fun romp! That said, I'd still like to take this opportunity to advise that people seek out The Go-Getter (2007). an unrelated film that resonates in a profound way that few movies achieve.

10 minutes in, I knew I must have the wrong movie, but I just couldn't stop.
