Well-traveled person, you are!

reply

Yeah, that was my main goal for about 10 years, even though I went to many of the same places again, as opposed to adding to my tally :)

reply

I too was born and raised in the USA, New York City's borough of Queens to be precise.
I then went to college in Washington DC, a place that's not even a state.
Moved to Miami in 1982, a place that is a combination of NYC's sixth borough, Cuba, and the northernmost city in South America.
There are currently three languages on our election ballots ... English, Spanish and Haitian French.
It is predicted that Portuguese might soon have to be added because of the growing Brazilian population who have become US citizens.

Seriously though, I have been to ...
Canada ... btw, if Americans are from America, why aren't Canadians from Canadia? ;-)

reply

I heard Northern Ireland was a dump.

reply

Well, we stayed in a very small town where there was no entertainment except a bowling alley and a local disco for the kids. We also went to Belfast for a few hours, which was much bigger, of course, although not so big compared to my own hometown. The landscape was nice, though. We went hiking in the mountains and visited the Giant's Causeway.

There's only one country on that list I would never want to go back to!

reply

Greece.

My brother went to the Republic of Ireland and he loved it. Everyone there told him don't go to the North. He also said the stereotype of the Irish drinking a lot is also true. He was attending various Irish folk festivals which may explain some of the alcohol consumption.

reply

Boy, the kids we stayed with in Northern Ireland sure loved their alcohol! When they came over here, they immediately wanted to go to the supermarket to buy alcopops because they couldn't yet buy those legally in their own country. One of them even got drunk and threw up on our carpet!

reply
