How do you feel about breast feeding in public?

Why can't the woman cover up while doing it?

When the woman is at work - how is the baby fed? If she can pump so the sitter/daycare center/whoever can feed from the bottle, why can't she do that when she takes the baby out?

That said, if she makes the decision to expose herself in public, she should be prepared for the fact that some men just might look at her.

Here's the question, if a woman breastfeeds by covering up, can I as a man pee into a jug in public as long as I cover up too? I know it's not the same body part, but if we cover up shouldn't it be okay?

How often do you see this? I mean, how much of a problem is this for you? I've only seen a woman breastfeeding in public maybe 4 times in my life.

As far as how I feel about it, in theory I'm perfectly fine with it. Hey, it's the primary reason breasts exist. In practice, it makes me a little uncomfortable, because I'm a product of our culture. I know it's silly but there you are.

I genuinely do not understand you people who have a problem with the simple act of "covering up" a little.

That's not puritanism, it's just discretion. It's a body part that is still generally accepted as being of a private nature --it's not a fucking elbow. And no I'm not a 12 year old boy who can't hold back from "looking" -- I'm a straight woman who doesn't care if someone's breastfeeding in public, just WHY shouldn't a little PRIVACY be employed? What is it about that rather mild suggestion that has YOU all so ready to attack me for it?

Jesus christ. You want to know why? You're a bunch of guys who want to see it. Oh heaven forbid the woman is actually not letting YOU do that.

I've never actually seen a mom breastfeeding in public. The few times I have seen the activity, it was either in their home, or at a daycare center. I usually leave them alone for privacy. The great benefit behind it is the fact that the baby won't be crying when they're done.

Overall, my feelings are mostly ambiguous. I do as the people in NYC do: glance briefly with curiosity, see what's happening, and then go about my business, all in 5 seconds.

It amazes me how the hypocrites complain about sucking tit in public but will kiss ass anywhere.

It's completely natural. That's what breasts are for you know. We are all just brainwashed by advertising that bottles and formula are the norm and nature is wrong 🙄

It doesn't bother me at all.
