'Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto' held here Toronto in 2003. Also known as the Sars Concert. There were 450,000-500,000 people there. The lineup included The Stones, AC/DC, The Guess Who and Rush among others. It was a good day.

soon be time for this year's event.

reply

Next week - I'm not going this time.

reply

I was at the Kumbh Mela, there were 250 million people.

reply

I can't beat that

reply

i've never been in any crowd of that size, definitely, & never ever want to be.
when i was younger i went to a few stadium shows. the lollapalooza tour in 92 in Minneapolis must have been the biggest gig i've seen, though i don't know what the actual head-count was. i'd guess it was around 30-40k. a long, hot, sweaty, smelly day as i recall.

i'm glad those things exist for people who enjoy them, but i am happy never ever leaving my apartment again.

reply

I'm content to let others attend mega-events. I dislike crowds - a lot. A couple of my kids went to Garth Brooks concerts in Mpls back whenever that was. I'm a Garth fan, but going to a concert and dealing with crowds? No thanks. I just can't do it.

reply

I just went to see Paul McCartney at Lambeau Field.

reply

how was it?

reply

Pretty good. McCartney's voice is kind of rough at this point, but he has a great band and puts on a near three hour show.

reply

I saw Paul at Miller Park in Milwaukee a few years back. He put on an amazing show! Wanted to see his show at Lambeau but it was sold out months prior.

reply

Wow that's crazy! I was at the Stones at Gillette Stadium back in 2002 but the attendance wouldn't be close to that. Likewise for Springsteen at Fenway Park. I also saw the Rollong Stones at the TD Garden which I'm pretty sure was sold out.

ORGY AT YOUR MOM'S HOUSE.

BLAH

Ask an interesting question and what do you get? There’s always a dips**t! 😡

reply

there is always one. he's a filmboards regular.

reply

Figures! That’s the only way that type knows how to respond. Sort of like a middle school dumb ass! Very juvenile...

My biggest event which pales in comparison to others here, was the 1992 Republican National Convention held at the Astrodome in Houston, TX. The same year Hurricane Andrew hit Miami, Fl and was making his way up the Gulf. I encouraged my friend to leave earlier than planned as my husband told me to “get the hell out of there and head home” to Central FL. We managed to outrun it. It came ashore in Louisiana as a cat 3, close to where we would be driving.

WHAT "TYPE" JUDGES A PERSON BASED ON ONE SENTENCE?

reply

An adult type judging the person’s juvenile one sentence. Who also seems not to know how to type in lower case.

reply

SPEAKING OF SENTENCES..YOURS RUNS ON AND SAYS NOTHING.

reply

OK...took care of the run on sentence. Does it meet with your approval?

BTW, it did say something. The something answered your prior reply. 🙄

Probably Grant Park in Chicago with Stevie Ray headlining. Second would be a Grateful Dead show at Autzen Stadium.

Funny side story is when I was in High School I didn't date anyone, but when I was a Senior I finally decided to ask the prettiest Hippie Chick in my class if she wanted to go to a concert. I asked her if she likes Led Zeppelin, then told her I had Little Feat tickets for the same night Zep was playing at a sold-out (?) Pontiac Silverdome.
We didn't go to either concert that night or ever.
