Radio

Do you listen to the radio? There are some news stations and music stations that I like.

reply

Always👍
I don't listen to any news though as it's mostly predictable...house fire in Brooklyn kills seven, a lunatic with a rifle attacked a shopping mall, politicians are being assholes again (it's all too horrible to hear about)...no news for me anymore...
Total news blackout here

I like the local classic rock FM station (Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister often hosts!) and Hair Nation and Ozzy's Boneyard on the satellite radio in my car

Yes, I listen to talk radio for a couple of hours every day, some sports and some politics/current events. I’m usually doing work at the same time, so maybe “half listening” is more accurate.

You and me both, Tex!

Driving and if there is some major local event like a storm or the Raptors win the NBA championship.

I listen to Public Radio all the time. Literally. I have it quiet enough where I can watch TV on top of it, but it's on ALL THE TIME. I may be being Brain-washed, but I don't mind.

Rarely - I have too much of my own music to listen to (I currently have about 100 CDs on my 'not played yet pile').

I listen to PBS stations like The Talkies, Letters and Politics, Democracy Now, Forum. No commercials.

I thought this was about that Cuba Cooding jr film

reply

All of the 'experts' in the media have about the same developmental level as Cuba in that movie so it's an understandable mistake

Were you ever able to listen to the Sunday Nite Sex Show back in the 90's? It was Canadian, but I know it was broadcast in the US as well. I think Sue Johanson even got a TV show in the US as well.

But the reason why I ask is she was an "expert" who was awesome, and she was on the radio. :)

reply

I never was aware of this

reply

Sue something or the other.

Sue Johanson

The ONLY thing I miss about having a lengthy commute to work is listening to the radio on the drive in. Pretty funny morning show on one of the Boston stations that I always really enjoyed.
