The Crow (1994)
I read the book Shooter was taken from and I think it’s title is Point of Impact. In the book Bob Lee was a Vietnam veteran. I really enjoyed the movie and thought it complimented the novel well
shareI haven't read it but yes that is the one. I like how they did the film without any moral qualms on the part of Bob Lee.
Would First Blood be considered revenge?

revenge

last house on the left
i spit on your grave
the director of the original 'i spit...' has made a sequel featuring the same actress (camille keaton) for some reason. i was thinking of giving it a watch, until i found out that it's 2.5 hours long for heaven's sake.
why on earth is it so bloody long?
i love a bit of trash. but i want it in 70-80 minute doses. 150 minutes is too big of an ask.
I’ve heard it’s horrible and Keaton almost quit mid filming. That says a lot. Lol
shareI had no idea about the Spit sequel but I did watch the remake series (they were lousy tbh)
As for Irreversible, Noe is a technical genius and a hell of a story teller
This is one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen, it does laps around any other revenge genre thriller out there
A perfect film for what it sets out to do and I may never watch it again
If you like Noe, have you seen Enter the Void?
shareNo, I'd like to see it
sharei absolutely love enter the void.
it's preposterous, ridiculous, has an absurd ending, & is way way way too long, yet it's so so great.
& i loved climax from this year as well.
it's actually from 2018 technically, but i certainly had no way of seeing it last year, so i'm calling it a 2019 release.
a raw, stomping return to form after what i thought was a rather bland effort in 2015's 'love.'
As for that ending, I'm curious if you agree with me:
He followed the sperm to conception so that he could be reincarnated as his sister's child, right?
sharethat's how i understood it!
preposterous, right?
but in a good 'this fucker will try anything' way, i feel.
And now for a sequel about his sister's spooky child with memories from before his birth that even he doesn't understand.
Good title for it: After the Void.
Hmm its kinda promising.
Love me some "Death Wish" (1974).
There's just something about the gritty '70s New York setting that really grabs you. Plus, Bronson is ruthless going after these muggers and rapists.
The way the daughter just slides into a non-responsive condition from the trauma and Kersey is not able to help her really is rough.
shareStraw Dogs 1971
shareThe Last House on the Left (1972)
The Last House on the Left (2009)
I Spit on you Grave (2010)
Irreversible (2002)
and...
Does "Deliverance" (1972) count?
They did indeed get revenge for Ned Beatty being raped but if I remember right the group is fighting for their survival. If they could have escaped the hill Billy’s and left the river without having to kill anyone do you think any of the group would have returned to seek revenge?

Have not seen this last one yet but I'm guessing I will like it.
