shareSoybeans are starchy? News to me.
Mashed potatoes, occasionally french fries, fresh bread (sourdough, French, most all fresh breads) with butter or a good cheese. Sometimes cakes, cookies, and less often pie.
I guess soybeans are staple foods, at least. But can't you also use them for a bunch of carbohydrate-rich stuff?
sharePlain steamed rice. Yum
shareSweet potato. Exotic!
sharePotato salad
shareGot to say potatoes because there are so many ways to make them. Mashed, baked, french fries, boiled, fried, scalloped, potato salad, potato soup, roasted red potatoes, sweet potatoes. And one of my favorites when I go to a restaurant called Long Horn Steak House below.

I just mentioned how my roommates keep giving me baked potatoes. Just the other day I wondered why they don't make homemade potato salad. Even I could pull that off. But they always buy Reser's and don't share.
