Going to see Pet Sematary remake tomorrow...

...with my friend Joshua. Could be good, could be bad but we'll see.

Update: I saw it and it was very good. Better than I thought it would be. 8.5/10. Not perfect but an improvement over the original.

I thought it was pretty decent. I liked the original better but can't say there was anything major wrong with this one. As remakes go, I'd say it's above average.

I got a copy yesterday. Had a quick look and the picture is fine, Korean subs hardcoded though but that's no problem.

I hope you like it. If you're a die hard fan of the original, which I wasn't, you may be disappointed, since it is very different.

Anything with John Lithgow in it is worth a watch, Even if it turns out to be a let down at least it won't have Denise Crosby's bad acting.

Don't bother, It's crap. Read the book instead. Or at least see the original film. Still, the book is better.

Sorry, but I've already seen it and it was way better than the mediocre original. I'd be willing to call it the official Pet Sematary movie and forget about the other one.

I have no opinion on the book since I've never read it but I should one day.

I thought it was OK. Still prefer the original, which had a pretty dark ending. They managed to figure out a way to end the remake that was even darker, though, so I had to give them some credit for that.

I loved the remake's ending. It was the highlight of the movie for me.

i thought the film was mostly flat & dull through most of its running time, but i thought the ending was quite good. not enough to make it a recommendable movie imo, but if you know the book and/or the first film, it's worth seeing to compare & contrast.

i really liked starry eyes, the previous indie-horror from this directing team. it's currently streaming on shudder if anyone cares to watch it.
