Being Put On 'Ignore' Causes Me Great Pain

I have a diagnosed mental illness, meaning I should be treated as a protected category.

If you are putting me on 'ignore' you are thus committing a very real form of bigotry and discrimination against a mentally ill (i.e. an oppressed) individual, meaning, as with any person who commits a form of abuse and discrimination against an oppressed group, I am well within my rights to troll and abuse you (and there are ways to troll a person even if they have you on ignore).

Please be warned.

But if you choose to treat me civilly and respectfully, guess what, I will respond in kind.

It really is as simple and easy as that. 🙂

I can report them if they make personal attacks against me.

And if the mods choose, for whatever reason, not to abide by the standards set by this site and thus do not decide to pm and caution the relevant poster or even delete their account, I can simply take that as a green flag to return the abuse in kind and litter the boards with personal abuse relating to that poster.

Fair is fair.

Either we treat everyone fairly, or we treat no-one fairly.

I'm sorry that you have a mental illness, but that does NOT give you the right to troll and abuse anyone. If you want people to be nice to you, you have to be nice to them. If you abuse me,
I will abuse you right back, and/or put you on Ignore.

And besides, I am sick and tired of people playing the victim card. If you have a problem, grow up and deal with it. It's not up to us to baby you.

I know this will cause a furious and sanctimonious backlash against me me by the PC Police, but I really do not care. I tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may.

I am serious, and as someone who has said that they also take SSRIs, I'd have thought you would have been more understanding and sympathetic.

If the hypothetical PC Police did exist I'd hope it would take the problems of people like us as serious as that of other vulnerable people.

We all are responsible for how others feel.

I don't say nasty things to others because I respect their feelings, unless they say nasty things to me, at which point I have earned the right to go ballistic on them.

Simple rule: treat me nicely and I will do the same in kind. Treat me like shit, and you better watch the fuck out.

If people don't want to read your posts, they don't have to - it's not discrimination, it's choice.

A number of people have already put you on 'Ignore' and to be honest, posts like this are just going to increase that number.

Phrases like 'Please be warned' really aren't going to help you.

I'm sorry that you are unwell, but it doesn't give you a free pass to troll.

Bigotry, oppression and cruelty gives any individual the right to feel aggrieved and demand the right to be treated decently. I treat women, people of colour and the LGBTQ community with respect and consideration. All I ask is the same back in view of my own problems.

In fact, my problem in this regard is even worse because how people speak to me is intrinsic to its exacerbation.
