Arctic (2018) - A man stranded in the Arctic after an airplane crash must decide whether to remain in the relative safety of his makeshift camp or to embark on a deadly trek through the unknown. I very good survival movie with very little dialogue.
We are in the same boat tonight, Cat. Twin B and I need to do some catching up on The 10 Commandments, the 1956 one with Heston. I was disappointed missing the broadcast last Friday, shown on TV every year (it's a family tradition). I'll let you know the film's quality on Blu-ray, which we have a copy of, eagerly awaiting to watch it.
My family indulged in some ice cream earlier, each of us having our own pint, a rare treat. The Pecan Praline Haagen Dasz had a mellow, sweet flavor, an even taste combo of brown sugar and maple; so delightful. I also received some peanut M&Ms styled as Easter Eggs while Twin B was gifted a small bag of assorted Jelly Belly flavors, fun, silly foods (B is more of a fruit candy person).
At least now, Cat, you'll be able to enjoy yourself this evening. Knowing you, it is very much deserved (not that you had to earn it, of course)!
I love that watching certain movies becomes family tradition, Twin. How was the quality on Blu-ray?
Everyone got their own private pint! I like that. Maybe a new family tradition? Pecan Praline sounds wonderful. I like butter pecan, if I'm going to have ice cream, so I'm certain I'd like pecan praline.
Last night I bought myself a little bag of Cadbury something easter eggs. The kind that are multi-coloured mini easter eggs with a hard shell, like your Easter M&Ms. Haven't had any yet, but they're there for when the mood strikes 🐰
After catching up on NHL hockey, I migrated over to The Twilight Zone. This show is very grim. It's always very grim. One has to have a certain attitude for this sort of stuff.
Last night, a gleeful Burl Ives leaves a terrified Ross Martin in a dungeon with a gun and one bullet. Even a little kid with Ives just looks at him like a specimen. Weird and grim. Unfortunately I didn't see what got Martin into this predicament. He had just found the gun and was using it to fend off wild dogs. Next thing I saw he was in the basement / cellar of some house with no stairs, just a trap door.
You usually watch The Sopranos at night? How many times have you seen it?
I tried to get into it, and more or less enjoyed I think the first season or so, but then lost interest. It was the characters that didn't hook me in enough.
I usually watch it at 11-12 o'clock at night in the weekend. It's my first time watching all seasons, but since I only watch 2 episodes per week, it's been lasting months now. But I'm almost done!😁
Two a week is showing a lot of self-restraint 👍. I suppose you've heard that people are divided on the finale. Even I've heard about that! Curious if you'll like it or not.
