I'm a fan of Altman in general. The Player and Short Cuts in particular are superb IMHO.

if you like "There Will Be Blood", you'd love "McCabe and Mrs. Miller", again, another of PTA's tributes to Altman. However, I think its just as good... Both of Altman's movies are very allegorical (and critical) of "the system" and the by-products (society's decadence)
