Your three favorite Russell Crowe performances

L.A. Confidential
A Beautiful Mind
American Gangster

reply

I can't think of even one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

reply

I am sorry, but I am unable to cut my list down from four to three. In fact, I own all four on DVD or Blu-ray.
They are ...
L.A. Confidential
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Cinderella Man
A Good Year

Nu? So how many demerits do I receive for breaking the rules?

reply

A Good Year is the only role of his I can think of. In my opinion he was okay in that but I thought plenty of others could have played the role just as well, or better.

reply

You must sit in the corner - facing the corner - until you realize the error of your ways. I will trust but not verify you do this.

reply

Gladiator (not a fan of the film but he is remarkably good in it)
L.A. Confidential
The Insider

Romper Stomper
The Insider
L.A. Confidential

reply

I haven't seen Romper Stomper.

reply

I forgot Romper Stomper on my list

Crowe plays the tough, charismatic leader of an Aussie skinhead gang and it's half action/half drama...really very good

Think American History X with a whole bunch of The Warriors mixed in

reply

I just watched Romper Stomper. It was a good performance by Crowe. A nasty character.

reply

He does nasty well.

reply

Romper Stomper (still his greatest performance imo)
L.A Confidential
Master and Commander

reply

You are the second person to mention Romper Stomper.

reply

His greatest performance, it's the role that put him on the map for sure. You should check it out, be warned it's a pretty brutal film about Nazi Skinheads in Australia.

reply

Thanks. I will need subtitles for this. 😊😊

reply

A Beautiful Mind is the only one I can think of.

Not a fan.

A Beautiful Mind
Gladiator

He is really talented, too bad he is an asshole. On the bright side his lawyer probably gets a lot of work.
