Who here can connect themselves to a famous person (6 degrees of separation)...

I can connect myself to a list of famous actors as I know a man who was an extra in the Australian movie "Newsfront" directed by Phillip Noyce in 1978. He actually met the director off set and had a cigarette with him.

Through the films of Phillip Noyce I can connect myself to...

Harrison Ford ("Clear and Present Danger" and "Patriot Games"),
Billy Zane, Nicole Kidman and Sam Neill ("Dead Calm")
among many others...

I just thought of another one. In high school I had a friend whose great-uncle was a Dutch writer and tv personality who once presented an music award show with Marlène Dietrich.

It's pathetic, I don't know anybody famous!

My ex-girlfriend met Toshiro Mifune. She was only a child at the time, but still. Her dad worked for a newspaper and interviewed him, and she got to meet him. She didn't remember much about it but she said he was nice. This would have been in the early 1990s in the last few years of Mifune's life.

I have a cousin who was in a straight to DVD movie with Billy Ray Cyrus. So that connects me to David Lynch, Miley Cyrus, amongst others, and using a full six degrees I could probably link myself to all kinds of interesting people.

Sean Connery was in Murder on the Orient Express directed by Sidney Lumet.

Sidney Lumet also directed Dog Day Afternoon starring John Cazale.

John Cazale was Meryl Streep husband.

Meryl Streep was in The River Wild with Kevin Bacon.

I ate bacon last night.

Was an extra in a Brad Pitt movie and met him.

Brad Pitt was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon

Nathan Fillion's mom taught my ex boyfriend and a few of my friends.

Also connected to Nathan through my job, as well as the old SCTV cast, and the Kids In the Hall, Bill Goldberg, Dan Aykroyd, and Matt Frewer to name a few. Although I've only met a couple of the SCTV guys and one kid in the hall

Was Brad a nice guy?

He seemed nice enough. He was kind to us in the short time we interacted.
