Oh really, captainbucky. Don't you realize that it's all part of God's plan?
Take Pi for example -- we can never completely solve it, yet it is very important.
Proof positive that God has a wicked sense of humor. ;-)

Put the remainders next to the next divisible digit instead of underneath and so on.
