What was that British film about a woman in the 40s I think who did abortions in her home but then somebody told the police and she got sent to prison. Think it's from 2000s and the title of the film is the name of the woman. Just cant remember it :(

No, just a film, by Mike Leigh. Came out about 2004.

You're thinking of Vera, a UK TV series with Brenda Blethyn as a detective.
