Do you think there are any disney live action remakes that might benefit from being redone?

I feel Lilo & Stitch could turn out great and become an improvement over the original, it was originally inspired by E.T. so we know the concept works as live action, and the sci-fi elements will look really nice with modern effects. The Black Cauldron is another one i imagine would not have anything to lose on being updated. The Rescuers could be cool as well.

They tried it with Peter Pan (Hook 91) and 101 Dalmatians (96) and neither was very good imo

Maybe The Black Cauldron could work...

Nice to 'meet' you btw👍

Yeah, it usually doesn't turn out that great, but i'm looking for examples that would go against the rule XD Nice to meet you too. And thanks for replying.

I liked Hook! It was very well made, and they did Captain Hook a major justice!

This Aladdin remake looks like trash. They ruined Jafar. And the tone of it seems really geared towards a kids movie, they could have made it something adults who remember the animated one can enjoy. Idiots.

I was unaware of an Aladdin remake
I'll look it up

Just watched a couple of the trailers
Looks decent
Will Smith is usually good👍

I think they should stay clear of all the disney renaissance movies, even if it's good there will be complaints about them just existing, but they bring in lots of money so won't happen, i wouldn't mind if they changed the final section of Aladdin up a bit and made Genie Jafar actually put up a fight and not just be sucked into his lamp like that. I know it was symbolic, but still a bit of an anticlimax.

Live-action "Lilo and Stitch" would really work, I agree. But can you imagine how expensive it would have to be to render all the special effects of the spaceship scenes and technological stuff?

Hope to see you around. Cool subject!

Well, Disney has the money, so no problem on the financial part. They are making all of them as i understand so it will come wether people want or not, just a matter of time.

Location costs should be easy enough to keep down too, being situated in the lush landscape of Hawaii. Definite scenic appeal.

Nothing wrong with introducing new audiences to Elvis Presley's music either. A hunk, a hunk of burning love!
