Given this is a Movie Chat site I can guess the results. However, if you were stranded on the proverbial desert island and was only permitted to experience/keep 10 music albums or 10 films, which would you choose? I would choose the films as many of them have introduced me to some of my favorite musicians, like Pat Metheny in Fandango.

I'd choose music. I'm weird. I like a lot of 30s, 40s, and 50s big band music and vocalists.

I love that old timey stuff. Like I said in my post, I was introduced to much of that via Woody Allen films. TY.

A little Dean Martin, some Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald... I'd be hard-pressed to figure out only 10, but I guess that's true of movies, too.

Maybe 2001, Psycho, Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, Persona, The Seventh Seal, ET, The Wizard of Oz, and a couple others.

I'm curious. The majority of films you have chosen are consensus, iconic, landmark films. Don't you have any lesser regarded films that you would really rather see than those listed? Some of my favorites are films that have been universally panned(The Man From Uncle, Popeye, and dare I say The Lone Ranger) but I would rather be stuck with those than films that were highly regarded by the experts. But I'm in the minority.

If I could only choose 10, I would want classics and all time greats. If I was on a desert island and could have hundreds of movies, then I would want some lesser esteemed films just for fun.
