One of my all time favorites is Lonely Are the Brave (1962). Many, including myself, consider it also to be one of his best.
I also remember really liking The Vikings (1958 ) when I was young. I don't know where it stands, however, as far as critical acclaim. I've never had an opportunity to rewatch it.
