reply

reply

reply

reply

reply

Team America was a little tounge and cheek. I wanted to put a comedy in there and along with a Borat I can’t think of many funnier

reply

reply

we got 3 in common and There will be blood, blade runner and Dark Knight are some solid choices

reply

There Will Be Blood is just a sheer masterpiece, greatest American film of the last 30 years imo. Blade Runner is fantastic, Ridley Scott's best film, I also loved Blade Runner 2049 that be in my top 50. Dark Knight is a given, still the best comic book film ever made.

reply

Agreed except for 2049. Hated Gosling and was not impressed by the rest.

reply

Really, I thought it was one of the better films of the last few years. Gosling really rubs people up the wrong way. I thought he was excellent in it.

reply

Nice list! There Will Be Blood, Blade Runner, and The Dark Knight are great ones!

reply

Thanks, tough to leave out so many other films. Those top list especially cut down to 10 or 20 sucks cause you leave off so many other great films that deserve a place.

reply

OK ok, I'll do it.

1. Requiem for a dream 10
2. Fight Club 10
3. Friday 10
4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 10
5. Scarface 10
6. Goodfellas 10
7. Apocalypse Now 10
8. A Beautiful Mind 10
9. Trainspotting 10
10. A clockwork orange 10

15. The Revenant 10
16. Braveheart 10
17. Saving Private Ryan 10
18. The Doors 10
19. The Pianist 10
20. Lawrence Of Arabia 10

reply

Big Lawrence of Arabia fan. I still see it every summer at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.

reply

We got 5 in common! Natural born killers, There will be blood and The Aviator could also be in my list.

Props for GO. I rate it 8/10

reply

Can I sak why you love Revolutionary Road that much?

reply

the story is very touching and i can definitely relate to it, i couldn't get this movie out of my head for a few days, thinking about how life and it's circumstances can absorb us to the point that we feel unsafe to make a change in our lives and we just decide to leave our dreams behind in order to face reality, its one the best thought-provoking movies i have seen and the performances by leo and kate were just amazing

reply

Me and my wife both related to parts of it too, it's well acted and all but to make a top 20 list? Idk...
I think the movie lacked warmth and family moments. (we barely see their children)
