Although nowhere near IMDb forum's pace of traffic before its shutdown years ago, MovieChat has a lot daily visitors, many of them refugees from the previous place, and enjoys a good level of conversation for the most part.

The General Discussion board is where most of the action takes place but the individual movie boards are also good for more pressing talk. Understand though the movie boards can be a little slow at times. So make yourself at home, we're a welcoming bunch and we're glad to get to know you and what you have to say. Feel free to ask me any questions about the site or about giving a brief tour.

Also, keep it mind with it being the holidays, the more casual traffic is a little down right but should pick up again once people have their fill after New Year's.

the big virtue is that, in addition to providing a forum for current films, this site imported a good portion of the imdb forum content, so you have the benefit of previous commentary for older/classic/cult films. this is great if you want to get a good sense of a film you might have questions about, or would like to see interesting takes on.

and then this general discussion is a pretty cool place, few trolls - welcome & enjoy!
